Human Rights or Power?

Human Rights or Power.


What I mean is this.


1. We human inhabitants here on our little planet, Have No Rights!!


I realize this might upset you, but we don't. Who gives us any right to anything? Where does this magic "Who" that we expect to be "out there somewhere" exist so that we have this "Right".


Sadly saying that we have the "right to life" does not stop millions of children dying each day. Having the "right to food or education" does not mean that no one is hungry or uneducated. It is just a sad myth to declare these things. Wonderful as it would be to stop the children dying, or everyone having food and an education, saying so does not make it so.


What should we do to make it so.....  take a look at this....


2. Power is all that we creatures have.


And Power exists in a number of forms.

We can use Physical power to cultivate the land, build a home, or maim help a neighbor. And the killing continues each day

We can use our mental power to love or intimidate our friend. And we bully our school friend, work mate or brother.

So the issue for us Human Beings is to CHOOSE how and for what, we use our Personal Power.

National Health Service bill

UK National Health Service Bill.


How can us normal folk understand what changes are being proposed. This mornings news talks about more than 1000 amendments have been proposed and are bogging down the bill.

It blows my mind that laws about how the NHS is being run is so complex. There are clearly administrative issues that managers have to sort out, and quality of care standards that need to be met, so what are the specifics that are being changed?

All we get from the news channels are generalizations about a subject and that is not good enough. So  you News Channels, tell us some specifics. Give examples of what is proposed and we may be able to make some sense of it all.

What is on my mind this Sunny Sunday

What is on my mind this sunny Sunday.


Well my first reaction to the start of the day is "it's still cold". -12c and may stay freezing all day again. Seems to be at least two full weeks of quite severe cold weather but it may improve later in the week. Donkeys will be pleased too I would think, as they have to wait for me to give them fresh water each morning as their supply has about 2 inches of ice on the pail when I get there.


So sad that Whitney Houston has died alone without the comfort of a friend. The tragedy of fame comes hard.


And the civil wars go on. What change is worth the price of so many deaths, each being a family tragedy of enormous depth. Take your time and peaceful evolution of society happens as in the USSR. Economic difficulty follows for sure, but the grave yards still have room for those for whom time has run.
