Childhood memories.

We had the real Wombles of Wimbledon record and remember the TV show too.

Nothing like memories from childhood.

These are worth sharing.

Childhood memories.

Earning on the Internet

Earning on the Internet.

Getting started seems the most difficult thing to do. What does it take to get that first payment into your account?

Well I have not done very well yet and my experiences go something like this.

1. Firstly I signed up for GDI. This is a web hosting site and provides help for building your web pages and letting others know about the service. In order for me to get any revenue I needed one of the following things to happen.
a) Build my web site and use it to promote a product or service that would give me some income.
b) Recruit other users for the GDI service and for them to sign up and use it.
After while my up line started to assign new clients to my down line and this slowly gave me some monthly income. This gave me hope and I was using sites to advertize the GDI pages.
This peaked at $18 per month for an outlay of $10, so I was pleased with the progress.
As I have not been successful at getting more registrations that has now dropped to $2 per month so I either need to start getting more downline or quit. I will give it another month of focused work and we will see.
The product seems to be good so It is worth trying. Check out my link at http://www.website.ws/chrismorris

Steve Jobs and other pioneers

What a creative guy Steve Jobs has been.

So missed by his family and I feel for them a lot.

As an early starter in the Computer world I was privileged  to meet some of the other early guys who are not so well known but helped set the sceen for the explosion in low cost computing.
But Steve Jobs and his partner Steve Wozniak certainly brought computers to a new place, in schools. And now Steve Jobs has brought it to our pocket.

Thanks for the creativity you have brought to the industry and may you Rest in Peace.

News Hackers, telphone etc.

I  have all ways believed that anything I do by phone, or computer can be seen by people or organizations that I do not know, who could be private or public institutions. This current scandal which has exploded around "The News of the World" and "News Corp International" is no real surprise.

The real crime here is the deliberate targeting of people who are living in crisis for no fault of their own, and where the motive for the action is solely for PROFIT. Without any human consideration for the person who is attacked.

These malicious actions are all ways known to those in power. They turn a blind eye and "don't want to know" how a story is found. They also fire reporters who are unable to come up with the information that leads to a scoop.

The action to be taken now is clear. Make the penalty for these evil actions total. Remove those in power from the ownership of the Media institutions that behave in this manner. No second chances.

Love, what does it mean?

Love, what does it mean?

Today I came across an old book that talks about the "God of Love" and what does Love mean.

The book was " The Symposium" by Plato!

Plato I have heard of and so my curiosity was aroused. What was he really all about, when did he live and why is he so well know a name? Well, he lived between 427 and 347 BC. So certainly not a recent writer. Would what he said make any sense to me, or you for that matter. He was considered perhaps the greatest of all Greek philosophers so I wanted to know (at least a little) of his philosophy and though I would put it to the test by reading this book, translated by Walter Hamilton.

One of the characters in this text is Socrates another famous Greek who was put to death in 399 BC and I wondered why.

Well as the subject of the story is "Love" and I have my own experiences in this field I read it from end to end this afternoon. I guess that philosophers never give you the answer to the question, but they give one food for thought. If you can follow the argument it is fun.

Good luck if you decide to try it.

The Promise

The Promise.
I have watched the first two episodes of this TV program and find it very interesting. If you know the history of the creation of Israel and the role of the British military at the time, it is not for you. But for me it gives an insight to the sort of life a soldier had down there while trying to do the right thing.
That period, coupled with the situation that people living in the region today face is insightful if nothing else.
The pain that all actors on each side of the dispute inflict on each, other is show in a rather graphic way.
Where is the wisdom that is needed to bring about a commitment that would allow the Arab and the Jew to share this little piece of the Planet in harmony?
Does the author of this drama have an answer, or just another biased view for one side of the other. I am looking forward to seeing the conclusion to the story..
